San James  +Simon-Pierre Lacasse

[San James is Marilyse Senécal's solo project]

As a daughter of a musician, Marilyse spent a lot of time behind the scenes from a young age. While other kids were busy playing hide-and-seek, she would listen to all the records stored in her basement and sing along, searching for the right harmonies for hours on end. After spending a part of her adolescence singing for others, she eventually decided to move on… but not for long.

When she moved to Montreal, she taught herself how to play the piano and began writing songs. Above all, she started to sing again, and only then did she remember how good it felt.
