When artists get together to write music based on imaginary films, you know you’re getting real art-rock. Pony Girl excel at painting soundscapes in which you can be lost. Anchored by guy-girl pop harmonies, songs flow seamlessly from calm to chaos with inspiring lifts—blending guitars, woodwinds and samples together like colours.

“Old Cabin…is soulful, sincere folk music, gently steeped in old-time traditions without re-treading tracks. This is folk music done without pretension.” – BeatRoute

FOREST FRONTIER

The group was founded by the brothers Oliver and Julian Martins (songwriters, composers, guitars and vocals) in Montreal in 2009 after having spent their childhood in the US. The style of their music, described by one of the founders is « an Indie Rock group that was abducted by aliens ». Greatly influenced by rock, electronic, alternative and ambient music, Forest Frontier brings a new and fresh sound to the local Montreal music scene. A sound full of emotions that travels to a melodic, authentic, acoustic and electronic journey.
