GAZELLE TWIN

Gazelle Twin is the creation of producer, composer and artist, Elizabeth Bernholz. Her critically acclaimed debut, The Entire City (2011, Anti-Ghost Moon Ray) and subsequent Mammal EP (2013, Sugarcane) will be succeeded by a full length industrial-pop offering UNFLESH in 2014. In early March, Dazed & Confused premiered the first creep-out new single and video 'Belly Of The Beast' and throughout May she will continue to dripfeed her new Cronenberg-inspired craft in a further single release on 27 May, and a string of rare UK/EU live dates.

Once upon a time, the entire world was made of paper. The origami birds folded their wings under bleached-out clouds while the Paper-boy brought out the news to every house of cards. One day, the girl with shredded eyes spotted him drawing pictures of another world. So she took him by the hand and she brought him to a crowd of cardboard cut-outs. She tore out her paper heart, and beneath the pinned-up moon, they learned to play with fire.

Dark new agers DOOMSQUAD re-code the electronic music narrative with a more worldly and cosmological presence than the genre would normally dictate. Their songs are rich in variance and full of vividness, spanning across their entire debut LP Kalaboogie . Drawing in guitar, flute, percussion and synth, the Montreal and Toronto-based siblings Allie, Jaclyn and Trevor Blumas act as aural anthropologists, teaming relics of cross cultural traditions like chanting and repetition over seismic ripples of deep bass.
