A voice raised in Quebec’s Laurentians that now calls Montreal home, is having quite an impact on Montreal’s music scene. Jess Abran, a 90's Trip/Hop artist who is bringing back what it means to be a musician of the bristol era. Being in the Entertainment industry since the age of 10, she was discovered by music producer to the stars - Paul Northfield, who she now works closely with for her next release. Her musical travels around Europe, along with other traits, have garnered her the nickname " The Montreal Pirate"
Trips and Falls is mainly the project of Jacob Romero which was formed in Montreal, Quebec in 2007 with Paul Gareau. The band’s songs touch on topics ranging from heartbreak, or fear of heartbreak, to the dangers of temptation, which can include recently released detainees of Limbo and men who wear corduroy pants. In 2009 they joined Song, By Toad Records, based out of Edinburgh, Scotland.
