“The earlier rootsy style of TWOM is replaced by a sophisticated, mature and lush sound a touch suggestive of peak-era Fleetwood Mac.” – New Canadian Music “The Wilderness of Manitoba is a Toronto-based trio that specializes in making atmospheric folk-rock with a tinge of Fleetwood Mac-inspired harmonies.” – Consequence of Sound

Whitebrow, formerly a solo project, now boasts a folk-blues quartet made up of some of Toronto’s finest musicians.

Their latest self-titled debut, has garnered much critical praise since its release earlier this year. Le Discolab in France praised the CD saying, “Whitebrow is quite possibly the best folk album of this year”.

Quick Before it Melts described the record as “creeky, creepy and utterly compelling”. The Toronto Star called it “Extraordinary” giving it 1st place on their anti-hit list and CBC Radio’s Here and Now selected “I Will Follow You Down” as the song of the week, citing the album as “Truly Special”.
