21h30 – The Custom Outfit + Deer Engineer
The Custom Outfit
Alt Country / Bluegrass
It all started in the backwoods of the Appalachian Mountain Chain. Shotguns and rocking chairs on every porch. You can hear the coyotes howling in the night while a lone car races down the dirt road. Following from the backwoods to a kitchen in St. Henri, these sounds met with some Urban influences and sounds of the past to form The Custom Outfit. Derek William sings his songs about the trials, tribulations and encounters of a modern day free spirit who refuses to conform. From dirty motels on the dark side of town to the luscious green pastures where romance was found, the songs speak for themselves. Yan and Dave are the ones who bring it all together and help the music develop its own identity. Raunchy guitar riffs and timely backing vocals mixed with the slappin' of the cat gut strings is the best way to describe them. At the end of the day, Derek William and the Custom Outfit are a high energy, foot stompin', music making machine.
