21h30 – Curse in the woods + Sunrise and Good People

Cabaret / Classical / Roots Music

Créé par Jeannie Taylor et Sam Harvey, le groupe propose un projet multimédia mariant musique et éléments théâtraux ou visuels. De quoi plonger l’auditoire dans une atmosphère sombre, mystérieuse et divertissante.

"Curse in the Woods attacks you with a romp of an almost dissonant piano riff and gives you the impression you’re taking part in a kind of pilgrim’s chase through a dark forest"- The Indie Band Guru

"Curse in the Woods’ new album is filled with wonderful dynamics… thoughtful piano ballads, indie sensibilities and quirky beat-driven pop all tied together with acoustic European carnivalesque instrumentation" – Modern Visionaries

Electronic-tribal-rock! Because Sunrise and Good People doesn't hide behind clichés when it comes to the inspiration for their original rock. And they've struck a chord that promises to influence the sound of Canadian music.

The band's founding members, childhood chums Eric Bolduc and Xavier Auclair, first met over 25 years ago and formed a bond that has held fast from the sandbox to the stage. But it's their travels that took them from Europe to East Africa, with stops in the Himalayas and the peninsulas of Eastern Canada which helped shape the sound that now moves and inspires audiences.
