Montreal will be the 1st of many tour stops for Jerry Leger and co. supporting the upcoming LP, "Some Folks Know".

This is the 6th release(and 5th full length)and features The Situation(James McKie, Dan Mock, Kyle Sullivan) as well as producer, Tim Bovaconti, Aaron Comeau on piano, Ron Sexsmith on piano and a duet with Serena Ryder. Leger's albums have been called "The works of a young gifted storyteller"(The Toronto Star) and "an impressive body of work"(Bob Mersereau, CBC). Tyler Rudolph (of Viper Central & The Bogg Hoppers) with: Dara Weiss Founders of Montreal’s only Sacred Harp Singing group will be teaming up for a special performance to play selections from their diverse folk and bluegrass repertoire.

Led by singer, guitarist and songwriter Charles A. Barrington, Montreal rootsy country blues band Cab proffer their second EP in as many years, and it's won me over entirely. Mastery of their genre is complemented by superb production from Jason Kent, which results in a highly listenable, albeit brief, collection of five songs. It's not an exaggeration to say that Cab's mature, raw and bitterly honest songwriting and musical textures rival those of heavyweights and peers such as Grateful Dead or early '70s-era Rolling Stones, while Barrington's voice continues to remind me mostly of Black Crowes' Chris Robinson.
