Girl in a Coma est un groupe de Rock/Post-Grunge, avec une réelle influence Tejano, formé à San Antonio, Texas. Il est composé deux sœurs et d'une amie. Son nom est tiré de Girlfriend in a Coma, une chanson des Smiths. Le trio a d'ailleurs fait la première partie de Morrissey à l'Olympia en 2008.

Girl In a Coma is a Indie band from San Antonio, Texas on Joan Jett's Blackheart Records' label. The band is made up of Mexican-American sisters Nina (vocals/guitar) and Phanie Diaz (drums) and long-time friend, Jenn Alva (bass). The name is a reference to The Smiths' song Girlfriend in a Coma.
