21h30: The Franklin Electric + Bud Rice

Pop /Folk /Rock

Comprised of Jon Matte (vocals, piano and trumpet), Kevin Warren (drums), and Jean-Sebastien Leblanc (guitar), the Montreal-based trio is vocal oriented, well-versed in a variety of rock-folk genres, and inspired by ambient guitar textures and brass. On-stage the Franklin Electric has been compared to the likes of Radiohead and Coldplay, often breaking away from original songs into periods of intense improvisation. As they are on stage, the Franklin Electric is focused on authentic studio sessions grounded in the ideas of honesty and integrity; even to-date the group boasts a form of purity that remains untouched by anyone but the team themselves.

Bud Rice is a singer/songwriter based out of Montreal about to debut his first record, Belfast, titled after his grandfather and mother's hometown and ultimately a result of his exciting upbringing. An eclectic record demonstrating Rice's musical spectrum. From intimate, lyrically driven songs, to upbeat soul, R&B, and rock tunes, Rice's show is one for everyone. Son of Montreal legend, Dave Gossage, Rice has been exposed to music at a very young age. His commitment and love of music is evidence of his father's passion for the craft. If you wish to sit down and listen, or get up and dance, Bud Rice is the show for you.
