Ils tapent sur la gueule des ayatollahs en vous faisant taper du pied; se servent de la bible pour démentir sa présumée homophobie et jouent des oeuvres aussi riches en histoire que folles de joie. Leur véhicule est cette vieille musique gospel qu’on retrouve dans les petites églises perdues du Mississippi. Sauf qu’il s’agit ici d’une grand’ messe pour personnes éclairées; qu’elles soient athées, chrétiennes, musulmanes, bouddhistes, hindoues ou simplement mélomanes. Ce groupe anti-raciste et anti-conformiste, aborde les questions socio-politiques de notre temps avec la verve de la musique gospel traditionnel. Irrévérencieuse, inclusive et festive.

After the release of his first solo album, I Hardly Knew Me, Montrealer David Martel came back into the spotlight with a new 4-song EP called You've Heard The Best! Now Try The Rest... He self-produced the EP and took full advantage of the freedom to just have fun, explore new sounds and add electro touches to his pop/folk songs. David is currently working on a highly-anticipated, new full-length album set for release in 2013.

Folly and the Hunter is an Indie Folk Band from Montreal Canada. They give a unique contribution to the Indie genre, blending the American folk tradition with ambient post-rock influences. F & H write tranquil yet sorrowful songs akin to that of Bon Iver, The National and Iron & Wine, while adding energy to the compositions with build ups and cascades of sound similar to that of Sigur Ros, Sufjan Stevens and Arcade Fire. Folly and the Hunter are releasing their debut album, titled ‘Residents’, in the beginning of 2011.
