The BoomBap Cats

Hip Hop / Jazz / Soul

Definition: Boombap: the original rap that goes boom followed by a bap... Cats: a slang term that was used in the 50's by jazz musicians that actually means people.

The boombap cats were founded in 2001 by Johnny IllDigger (producer) and Mehdi Cee aka Mister Slang (MC). Ever since that day, they work on their unique flava of Hip-hop to bring you the freshest shit possible.

Dj Ryan Carman

For 15 years Ryan Carman has produced and performed hiphop in a variety of venues, styles, names and projects. As both a solo and group artist, his approach to beat making has always been that of experimentation and pushing boundaries. A well seasoned improvised musician, he has chosen to allow the art of The Freestyle to enter and dictate where the music begins and ends; like that of a graffiti writer dropping a burner without a drawing. The idea of "Off the Top of the Head" has always been key to his music production.
